Sun, Moon and the Milky Way by Greg Stokesbury

This is a dark shot so view on black. Having the Milky Way and the moon in the same shot only happens in the same time span of a few days a couple of times a year. And this is one of them. Of course when this happens the quality of the Milky Way suffers because of the moon. Then you throw in a rising sun and you almost lose the Milky Way all together. But despite that it was a very cool experience to be sitting outside of Zion in the early morning. And we gave it another try a couple of days later at White Pocket. At that location we were facing the west and didn't have to battle the rising sun and we were able to get better Milky Way/moon shots.
